| This early Shaker storage basket is also known as a dresser box, and was made from woven poplar, with a decorative silk ribbon, in the early 20th century in New England. Another version of this style of basket appears on page 59 of the Collector’s Guide to Country Baskets by Don & Carol Raycraft. In good condition for its age with minor wear on some corners, weathering of the silk ribbon and some of the surfaces, as can be seen in the scans. |
