ladybox.jpg (28599 bytes) Victorian Box with lithograph of young lady with a star in her hair.   Wood with brass hardware and hinges.    Surface paint and the lithograph are worn with time.   Some pencil and crayon marks inside lid and small splinter of wood are missing from inside back by hinge.   Push button hasp opens the box.

This early Shaker storage basket is also known as a dresser box, and was made from woven poplar, with a decorative silk ribbon, in the early 20th century in New England. Another version of this style of basket appears on page 59 of the Collector’s Guide to Country Baskets by Don & Carol Raycraft. In good condition for its age with minor wear on some corners, weathering of the silk ribbon and some of the surfaces, as can be seen in the scans.

sconces.jpg (13811 bytes) Hand crafted tin sconces  with glazed ironstone bobeches.   This sturdy pair comes with a weathered patina that will complement your classic or country interior.   Age crazing and minor wear on ironstone.   One bobeche fits loosely and sits on a piece of cork.

antennae.jpg (16370 bytes) Vintage television antenna is fully functional with telescoping ears that extend to 38 inches.   Heavy molded plastic, brass center, heavy metal and tin base.   Some age splits in plastic casing covering the copper wire.  Original bottom felt is extremely worn.

redstool.jpg (14148 bytes) Primitive painted bucket bench with weathered red paint over previous colors.   Home made with old canvas tire scraps on base of feet on one end.   Triangular cut-outs on sides.   May be oak.  The bench weighs 15 pounds.

GreenFrame.jpg (26064 bytes) Vintage 1930's thermoplastic tabletop picture frame in a faux celluloid marbled green.   Screened design in gold ink with some wear as shown.   Removable brass pins at center of each side hold the frame to the cardboard easel backing.   Very small age tear at upper right side.

decanter.jpg (13936 bytes) Figural musical decanter for rye whiskey is a "Pixie-Ware" look- alike.   Decal reads: "Souvenir of Long Island, New York".    Decanter is decorated with vintage drinking phrases like "coming through the rye".  Accents in gold glaze.  "Tipsy" music  plays when decanter is lifted to pour.   Very good condition with crazing under the clear glaze.   Slight wear on back of head of the bartender.
